Young participants from several European and non-European countries took part in the Erasmus+ initiative Games for Change, an innovative educational activity that uses role-playing games to encourage dialogue, critical thinking, and active citizenship.
The activity was organized online and hosted by Fondacija Centar za zastupanje građanskih interesa (CPI) and implemented as part of the international Erasmus+ project Games for Change, which brings together young people and educators from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Italy, and Romania. The project is supported by a consortium of partner organizations including Fondacija Mozaik, LibrAzione, Station Europe, and Center for Bridging Communities.
Through interactive role-playing games, participants explored some of todays most pressing social issues, including online radicalization, digital responsibility, and intercultural dialogue. The methodology encourages young people to step into different perspectives, collaborate with peers, and develop practical problem-solving and communication skills.
What makes Games for Change unique is its ability to transform learning into an engaging and immersive experience. Rather than discussing challenges in a traditional classroom setting, participants actively experience complex social situations and work together to find solutions.
The event highlighted the growing importance of non-formal education in preparing young people for an increasingly complex world. By combining education, creativity, and social engagement, Games for Change demonstrates how innovative learning approaches can inspire positive change within communities.
